Teachings of the Dalai Berra For decades, one of the world’s most beloved sports figures, Yogi Berra, has both amused and confused the public with his inimitable outlook on life. THE WONDROUS LIFE A collection of three short-stories similar to Paul Coelho’s Alchemist, but written for children. The Wondrous Life offers tales of joy and compassion to inspire meaningful dialog between adults and children. The stories are: • The Firefly Ball: Mary Periwinkle discovers the importance and purpose of every living creature when she goes to the magical Firefly Ball. • The Heart of Darkness: a misfit, twelve-year-old boy saves a town from a terrible monster by teaching the townspeople how to look for the good in everyone. • The Invisible Dragon: through his desire to be lazy, Chung Li accidentally frees an invisible dragon who begins destroying the happiness of his village. To save his friends, neighbors and family, Chung Li must find the secret of contentment. Each tale highlights a different culture. The Firefly Ball has an English tone, The Invisible Dragon an Asian nature, and The Heart of Darkness was inspired by an ancient Jewish myth. These stories constitute the first volume of a multi-cultural children’s series to promote joy and compassion between all people. |
